Papel Chicano: Works on Paper

Bold and intense imagery rich in color has long been a trademark of art expressing the Chicano experience. Drawn from the collection of Cheech Marin, Papel Chicano includes about 40 works on paper – primarily pastels, but also drawings, mixed media, oil, acrylic and gouaches – from nearly 20 artists. Represented are Gaspar Enriquez, Margaret Garcia, Raul Guerrero, Roberto Gutierrez, Wayne Alaniz Healy, Adan Hernandez, Leo Limon, Jose Lozano, Jesus “Chuy c/s” Rangel, Cesar Martinez, Alex Rubio, Frank Romero, Eloy Torrez, John Valadez, Patssi Valdez, Vincent Valdez, and George Yepes.
